Versatile Blogger Award

For the second time since starting this blog, the intended topic was thrown out with the wonderful email from Aguja of Agujas blog informing us that we’d been nominated for the Versatile Blogger Award.  What an honor! We’ve been having fun with our blog meandering all over the place with topics and to have a fellow blogger appreciate us is quite special.  We have to admit that we had not heard about this award before and feel remiss in not being proactive in nominating people.  I’ve taken the VBA Rules directly from her blog post.

• Q was in a three girl, folk-singing group in high school, called the Tradewinds.  They sang in various locations around San Diego County.  They had the name BEFORE the group who became famous as the Tradewinds. 😎
• We LOVE to read mysteries. It started with Nancy Drew and the Secret Garden.
• Curls loves to make her own pickles out of a wide-variety of produce. Q loves her peach butter the best.
• Q is nuts about inventing off-the-wall grilled cheese sandwiches.  For example, she’ll use Curls peach butter, slices of apple and cheese.
• Both of us have to pick up interesting looking rocks in our adventures. This last trip together, we came home with rocks we picked up in Idaho.
• We both have the same laugh. It is a crazy laugh and when we hear each other, we laugh harder.  Curl’s son Russ can perfectly mimic us.
• We are genealogists and published a one name newsletter for 4 years.
