Timeout for a Nerd Test

While visiting Celebrate Life’s blog, we were intrigued by the Nerd Test. Today is the perfect day for the Nerd Test. Click here to take you to the site. Are you a nerd? We took the test and here are our results: Q is a Nerd Queen and Curls is a Cool Nerd Queen! Please send our crowns! You can see how we compliment each other.

While you’re having fun, head over to WeeWorld and make an avatar! So fun.

Today Celebrate Life had a post on making QR codes. Being the Nerd Queen I hopped to the QR Code Generator site and made three codes: Q, Curls and http://www.curlsandq.com. I tried them out with my iPhone and they worked! I’ve added our site QR code to a widget in the sidebar. How cool! Thanks Opal! Today at Curls and Q is all yours! Celebrate Life discusses and has links to a discussion about knitting QR Code. How can we surreptitiously work this code into our knitted objects? Hum……

    • That would be perfect to knit! I played with the generator for awhile. 😎 That’s me, total geek! So glad you wrote about it. I’m thinking a hat with the grandkids initial. Did the code work when knit? It’s fun to hold the bar code reader to the computer screen and see “Q” and “C” and then on http://www.curlsandq.com takes us to our blog. So fun! Really, I think I’ll do an afghan also. Good idea!

      • I haven’t had a chance to knit a QR code (yet.) This past week has been so busy! And today is my daughter’s first day of school. However the OP (of the thread that I linked to within my post) has, and she posted her knitted square with a QR code within that post, and it worked! Crafters come up with the most creative ideas. 😉

This week, I’m going to try to work on a doll sized knitted afghan with a QR code. It’ll have a ‘private message’ just for her. My daughter would get a kick out of it since she’s familiar with QR codes.
